AIM for Seva

Heartfelt Gratitude to a Benevolent Donor

The girl students residing and studying at the Swami Dayananda AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Girls, Sembangudi, Tamil Nadu as well as at the Swami Dayananda AIM for Seva Tribal Girls Chatralayam, Anaikatti, Tamil Nadu look forward to partaking in a Special Meal every month since September of last year.

Thanks to the generous Annadanam support extended by Dr. Othimalai Gounder Velusami and his family from UK, the girls from both Chatralayams are treated to Special Meals during the occasion of amavasya every month.

This commendable act has not only provided nourishment but also a sense of care and support to the young residents residing in the hostels. In a heartwarming gesture of care and support, Dr. Othimalai Gounder Velusami recently paid a visit to the girls residing at the Anaikatti Chatralayam. This recent visit further solidified Dr. Velusami’s commitment to the well-being and welfare of the young hostelers.

During his visit, Dr. Velusami interacted with the girls, spreading smiles and creating cherished memories.

This generous act of Annadanam was initiated by his wife, Late Ms. Susila Velusami. Dr.Velusami is continuing this gesture to honour his wife’s commitment. In his testimonial, Dr.  Velusami commended the staff at the Anaikatti Girls Chatralayam for extending a hand of exceptional hospitality, ensuring an active involvement in the educational project.

“I greatly appreciate your efforts in organising our participation in my dear wife’s thithi event at the Anaikatti Chatralayam. The gifts, heartfelt poems and gratitude-filled cards took us by surprise. The warm welcome and generous hospitality were truly overwhelming. The lunch provided was exceptional, exceeding our expectations. It was an unforgettable day, a testament to the divine order of Iswara. Thank you once again for your outstanding efforts,” shared Dr. Velusami.

It goes without saying that a healthy and well fed child will attend school regularly and there will be reduced instances of absenteeism.

We whole heartedly thank Dr. Othimalai Gounder Velusami and his family for their most generous and sustained donations towards girl child education.
