In our efforts to nurture holistic education and empower rural students, an educational guidance programme was organised with a special focus on strengthening the academic performance of students, particularly those preparing for their Class 10 board examinations at Sawantwadi, Maharashtra. The programme saw participation of both, the girl and boy hostelers from Sawantwadi (Kumari Deepa Devi Singh AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Girls and Dayasagar AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys).
This initiative’s genesis arose from observations made by an alumnus during a recent Chtarlayam visit. During the educational material distribution and interaction visit to the Chatralayam, the need for focused academic support, structured study practices, and mentoring was identified.
Recognising that access to the right guidance can help students realise their full potential, a special session was organised to equip them with practical tools for academic success.
As part of this, Sri. Manoj Tirodkar (Sawantwadi), coordinator of Home Revise Education, shared insights into effective study practices, examination preparation and goal setting.
The session addressed key areas such as:
* Developing effective daily study habits and structured study schedules.
* Translating consistent preparation into improved examination performance.
* Setting academic goals and striving for excellence.
* Building discipline, focus, and confidence in the learning process.
* Developing a purposeful approach towards achieving academic aspirations.
Through such initiatives, AIM for Seva seeks to strengthen the educational ecosystem within its Chatralayams, extending beyond access to education to include mentorship, academic support, and the development of each student’s potential to the fullest.
