On the 11th year of samadhi observance (23rd September 2026) of our beloved Founder , Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, we share an excerpt from his works for contemplation.
‘You will have to complete what you have undertaken. A failure now will be ever remembered later and that will not be a happy memory. Anything we undertake we should see it is completed; completed successfully.
It is good to pause and think before we begin anything. Once you know it is a good decision you should stick to it like a leech and be an all cry for success. Never get disgusted with the work or the field in which you happen to be. Just carry on nicely, happily. When a change is essential, you will do it. Have confidence in your own good sense. This will polarise the thoughts that are more or less reactions to frustrated desires. This is natural with every mind and nothing to worry.
When there is a real thought the decision will automatically get completed. And on that ‘I have no real thought’ let you not worry. If it is not now, worry won’t in any way better my lot. If it is to come it cannot be through worry, surely.
Hence, maintain the attitude that you have been hitherto enjoying. One should resign to time for all major events in life. Entertain the dear thought and conclude at every time that ‘well the time will come.’ And there is that guy who is ready to fill the cup with cheer. Poor “worry.” It cannot touch you.’
