Hailing from Kulipatti, R. Bharathi is the first person in the entire settlement to complete secondary school education. Kudos!
Kulipatti is one among the many tribal settlements tucked away in the Anaimalai Tiger Wildlife Reserve in Udumalpet, Tiruppur district, Tamil Nadu. Bharathi joined the Atmalaya Swami Dayananda AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Girls, Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu, in 2016 when she was in Class 4 as there was no proper schooling in her village.
In 2023, she appeared for her Class 10 public examination and succeeded. Bharathi was a shy girl with an abundance of native intelligence but lacked social and interactive skills. The Chatralayam upbringing brought in the desired change. Over the course of the last seven years, Bharathi’s metamorphosis into a sincere student was complete.
She now wants to follow her heart and pursue a course in tailoring. Bharathi firmly believes that following one’s passion and interests is a great way to find fulfillment and build a successful career. As a first step towards achieving her ambition, Bharathi has signed up for a six months tailoring course.
