Education is the foundation of empowerment. With this insight, AIM for Seva has built schools and a college, to ensure that children and youth in rural areas have access to quality education. The schools and college are equipped with necessary infrastructure and modern pedagogical tools.
Schools in rural India typically lack the requisite infrastructure and teaching tools, which in turn mean that students there do not gain the maximum benefit from their tenure of study. To address these problems, AIM for Seva has stepped into the space of educational institutions by building schools. Presently, there are four schools and a college in Tamil Nadu and two schools in Madhya Pradesh.
The Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science in Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu provides opportunities for over 1,500 students, many of whom are first-generation graduates, to pursue graduate and post-graduate programmes. Each of these institutions has been equipped with requisite infrastructural facilities (such as clean sanitation facilities), classrooms that feature modern pedagogical tools (such as smart boards), and well-equipped laboratories.
