C. Balasubramaniyan, an alumnus of the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu was recently felicitated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Sri. Banwarilal Purohit for bagging the first rank in the university (6 colleges and 940 students) in Sanskrit.
Balasubramaniyan who did his bachelors in business administration received the medal and certificate of merit from the Tamil Nadu Governor during the convocation held by Bharathidasan University on October 1, 2019. The Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu is part of Bharathidasan University.
A son of a retired military officer, Balasubramaniyan hails from Kulikkarai in Tiruvarur district. His mother is a housewife and elder sister Durga is married. Balasubramaniyan did his primary schooling in Assam (Class 1 to 4), middle schooling (Class 6 and 7) from West Bengal.
Balasubramaniyan completed his schooling from Jawahar Matric Higher Secondary School, Neyveli, Tamil Nadu and joined the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil in 2016. He is currently working with City Union Bank in Elayaangudi, Sivagangai District, Tamil Nadu. Balasubramaniyan wants to retain his connection with Sanskrit and aspires to be a Sanskrit teacher one day.
