Computer Science Fest

The Department of Computer Science at the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu conducted it’s inter collegiate meet, Dayafest 2K20 on February 12 at the Sri. G.R. Auditorium, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu.

The computer science festival saw the participation of 192 students and 15 faculty members from 12 colleges in the region. The inaugural function began with a prayer song at 10 am. The welcome address was delivered by Sri. T. Venkatesan, head, Department of Computer Science, Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu.  Sri. M.R. Srinivasan, correspondent, Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu delivered the inaugural address while Sri. M.R. Rajagopal delivered the felicitation address. Smt. V. Hema, principal, Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu delivered the presidential address.

The following events were conducted as part of the festival—paper conference, big brains, web builder, buggy buzzy, memos, one step, snapshot and word stress.

Sri. M.G. Srinivasan distributed prizes to the winners and runners in the events. Rabiammal Ahamed Maideen College for Women, Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu won the overall winner trophy.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Sri. G. Magesh, assistant professor, Department of Computer Science, Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu.  The entire programme was coordinated by students from the computer science department.

The valedictory function ended with playing of the National Anthem.
