Bhoomi Puja for New Chatralayams

Bhoomi Puja for New Chatralayams

In our endeavour to educate girls from rural India, a new Chatralayam is set to open doors soon in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

The Bhoomi Pujanam for the girls hostel building at the Swami Dayananda Saraswati campus, Padali Khurd village, Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh, was performed on 24th November 2021.

Swami Satprakashananda ji Maharaj graced the occasion and blessed students and staff members.

We thank Sri. Jugal Kishor and Smt. Bimal Bishor from California, USA, for contributing to this cause and supporting education of the girl child.

A Bhoomi Puja for a new Chatralayam for girls was done on 28th October 2021. This new hostel will be located in Padavedu village, Polur taluk, Tiruvannamalai district, Tamil Nadu.

We thank the donors to this noble cause:

Land Donor: Aanandam Chairtable Trust

Building Donor: Sri. P. Rama Ramalingam & family, California, USA

Of the 101 Chatralayams that are currently operational in India, one-fifth or 21 free student hostels are for girls alone. In addition, AIM for Seva runs a girls school in Madhya Pradesh (Inder & Prabha Sharma Girls School, Khategaon, Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh).

AIM for Seva also runs tailoring centres, non formal education centres and computer centres for women in Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu. This enables women from rural India to take their first step towards economic independence.
