Ajay Kumar Dheemar, an alumnus who studied in AIM for Seva’ Chatralyams across Kareli (Madhya Pradesh), Sembangudi and Thippanampettai (Tamil Nadu) shares his transformative journey with us.
“Namaste. I am Ajay Kumar and I belong to Madhya Pradesh. I would like to share my journey with AIM for Seva with you all.
I come from a poor family and the village where I lived did not have a school from where I could pursue my studies. So, I joined the Smt. Krishna Rani Papneja AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys in Kareli, Madhya Pradesh in 2007. I completed my schooling while residing at this Chatralayam. During my stay at the Kareli hostel, I learnt many things like value of time, respect for elders and helping out each other.
At AIM for Seva, we do many activities like yoga, exercises and chanting of mantras and many other things. After completing my schooling, I got a chance to pursue higher education in Tamil Nadu. So, I went there and I have completed my B. Sc in mathematics from the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu.
I consider myself very lucky to have pursued my degree at Pujya Swamiji’s birthplace. Many companies visited the college for placement. I got selected in TCS and I am currently working with this company in Chennai.
The entire credit for what I have achieved today goes to the AIM for Seva family. I offer my thanks to Pujya Swamiji, Swami Aishvaryananda Saraswati ji (the coordinator of AIM for Seva’s projects in Madhya Pradesh), Sheela ji (Chairperson and Managing Trustee, AIM for Seva), other supporters and AIM for Seva’s donors from America and Canada who have always supported us. Support us to grow more and more so that students from rural India like me get access to basic and higher education. My thanks to the AIM for Seva family.”
